Hop on my Bike

I love to ride my bike. I especially like my bicycle built for two. At one time in my life I let God ride on the back giving me advice and helping me pedal. One day ... I don't remember when or why ... we (God and I) changed places. Then my life became much more exciting! God knows bike secrets! On some of our rides, I just hang on.

God has taken me lots of places using shortcuts and longcuts that only He knows. God likes to travel fast especially around corners! When I asked, "Where are You taking me?" God laughed ... and I started to learn to trust.  He led me to places I would never have dared go on my own. We ... God and I ... have parked the bike near abortion clinics where we have prayed for the day every person's life will be respected for the moment of conception to natural death.

God has parked our bike at women's retreats where He has used me to speak about our journeys together.

About thirteen years ago God parked our bike outside a men's prison. Almost every Tuesday the Deacon and I have gone to prison to share our faith with some incarcerated men. These men are good men who have taken some wrong turns in their lives.

Another journey on which God has been my tour Guide included a seat for my husband on our bike. For five years 10 months out of the year one weekend a month, God formed my husband to be a deacon. The formation required wives to attend. I was shocked by the amount of knowledge I gained about my faith and Church traditions! How blessed I am ... thanks be to God!
